Job summary

Memphis-Shelby County Schools seeks an Educational Assistant - Proximity Support to co-facilitate learning with blended instruction under the teacher’s mentorship. You will assist the virtual synchronous teacher, support individual and small-group work, monitor progress, and communicate with the classroom teacher to enhance student achievement.

Responsibilities include distributing content, reinforcing learning concepts, and aiding classroom leadership with students.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 48 semester hours required.
• One year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
• Proof of education/training/experience required; CPR and First Aid certification required or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support students with learning skills and reinforce content as directed by the teacher.
• Assist the teacher of record with distributing notes, tests, and assignments.
• Monitor and document student progress and communicate with the classroom teacher about instruction and resources.
• Provide supervision and direct instructional support in whole-group, small-group, and individual settings.
