Job summary

Shelby County Schools seeks an Educational Assistant - Proximity Support to co-facilitate learning in blended instruction settings. You will work under the teacher of record to assist with individual students and small groups, and help monitor progress in a collaborative classroom environment.

Under supervision, you will support the virtual synchronous teacher, document student progress, and maintain regular communication with the classroom teacher about instruction and resources.

Qualifications

• : Associate's degree or 48 college credits required.
• : CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained or demonstrated.
• : Experience with children in educational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher of record under direct mentorship to support blended instruction.
• Support the virtual synchronous teacher and monitor student progress.
• Communicate regularly with the classroom teacher regarding instruction and resources.
