Fairfield City School District in Fairfield, OH, seeks an Educational Assistant (part-time) to support students in grades K-5 under the Principal's direction, assisting with reading and math interventions, supervision, and classroom tasks.

Beginning pay is $17.37 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including life insurance, retirement, medical, dental, disability, and vision coverage, plus sick and personal days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Obtain Educational Aide Permit (ODEW) and meet one of: associate degree, 48 college hours, or paraprofessional exam.

Under the direction of the Principal or designee, this employee may perform reading/math intervention, and will assists in the supervision, care and instruction of students in grades K-5 by monitoring student behavior, performing classroom tasks, and providing information to appropriate school personnel.

PAY & BENEFITS

• Beginning hourly rate: $17.37/hour and up, commensurate with related experience for regular employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Apply for and maintain an Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (ODEW) and meet one of the following criteria (1) hold an Associate's degree or higher, (2) have taken forty-eight semester hours of college coursework, or (3) take a Paraprofessional exam.
