Educational Assistant (part-time) West Elementary

Under the direction of the Principal or designee, this employee may perform reading/math intervention, and will assist in the supervision, care and instruction of students in grades K-5 by monitoring student behavior, performing classroom tasks, and providing information to appropriate school personnel.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

• One position available 2.5 hours per day (cafeteria monitor)
• One position available – 3 hours per day (Reading/Math intervention)

PAY & BENEFITS

Beginning hourly rate: $17.37/hour and up, commensurate with related experience for regular employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Apply for and maintain an Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (ODEW) and meet one of the following criteria:
• Hold an Associate's degree or higher.
• Have taken forty‑eight semester hours of college coursework.
• Take a Paraprofessional exam.
