Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with one of the allowed education options.
• ParaPro or ParaPathways (ETS) or 48 credits with English & Math, or an associate degree or higher.
• No Child Left Behind Act education requirement aligned with Hawaii DOE rules.

Responsibilities

• Independently assists with academic and instruction-related activities as directed by the teacher.
• Tutor students and observe/report on progress and difficulties.
• Provide social, vocational, and daily living instruction to students with disabilities when needed.
• Assist with articulation reinforcement and speech-related activities under guidance of a speech pathologist.
