Qualifications

• Successful completion of an examination approved by Hawaii DOE (e.g., ParaPro or ParaPathways).
• At least 48 baccalaureate-level semester credits from an accredited institution, including 3 credits in mathematics and 3 credits in English.
• An associate degree or higher from an accredited institution recognized by the Department.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs varied academic and instructional support activities as directed by the teacher.
• Provides social, vocational and daily living instruction to students with disabilities in school or community settings.
• Engages in counseling support activities to build healthy self-concepts and social skills.
