Job summary

Hawaii State Department of Education seeks Educational Assistant III-level staff at the specified location to support teachers and students in instructional activities. Positions may be filled from Educational Assistant I if recruitment challenges arise.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• No Child Left Behind Act qualifying options listed by the Hawaii DOE.
• Substitutions allowed for experience with related credentials.

• Provides social, vocational, and daily living instruction for students with disabilities.
• Engages in counseling support and builds rapport with students to support self-concept.
