Job summary

Corvallis School District in Corvallis, Oregon seeks an Instructional Assistant to support licensed staff in curriculum implementation and student learning. This role involves assisting in small groups and individual students, preparing materials, and helping maintain a positive classroom environment.

This position is 7 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with a regular/probationary contract and non-exempt classification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher required; two years of post-secondary study or passing assessment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work with diverse cultures and backgrounds in a school setting.
• Ability to organize information and support licensed staff in instruction.

Responsibilities

• Assists in instruction of students in small groups or one-on-one settings under licensed staff supervision.
• Prepares instructional materials and visual aids; distributes supplies.
• Maintains orderly classroom operations and supports student safety and positive behavior.
