Cumberland Valley School District is hiring an Educational Assistant (EA) I, offering 7.5 work hours per day. The responsibilities will include support staff duties based on building needs, such as support in the IMC, ESL, Special Education, Security Monitoring, or Physical Education. The starting wage is $18.75/hr for the 2025-2026 school year.
The EA I plays a vital role in fostering a supportive and effective learning environment, working closely with classroom teachers and district staff to provide instructional support, manage activities, and assist with educational programs. Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work interactively with students and staff are essential.
Employees must complete twenty (20) hours of training annually to maintain Highly Qualified Status. The physical requirements include the ability to stand and sit for long periods, bend, stretch, lift 50 pounds, and have corrected hearing and vision within normal ranges.
