Job summary

The Campbell County School District #1 is seeking an Instructional Assistant - SPEA for Students with Visual Impairment in Gillette, WY. Qualifications

• Operating standard office equipment.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education students under teacher direction to participate in classroom activities.
• Attend meetings as requested to convey information and support professional planning.
• Confer with teachers to evaluate progress and implement IEP objectives.
• Instruct students individually or in small groups to support progress on IEP goals.
• Maintain instructional materials and student files for reliable information.
• Monitor students to ensure a safe, positive learning environment.
• Perform clerical tasks to support the teacher and prepare records/materials.
• Record observations/ incidents and communicate with appropriate personnel.
• Respond to inquiries from staff with information and referrals.
