Wichita Public Schools is seeking a paraprofessional to assist with basic academic skills and support students under the supervision of certified teachers. The role involves working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning concepts at Samuel E Spaght Science and Communications Magnet Elementary School.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and, for Title School staff, 48 accredited college credits or a state-approved assessment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Paras working in a Title School must have a minimum of 48 accredited college credits verifiable with a transcript or pass a state approved assessment.

Responsabilités

• Assist students individually or in groups with lesson assignments to reinforce concepts.
• Provide a safe and healthful environment for students and staff.
• Direct activities to reinforce concepts for individuals or small groups.
• Assist teachers in collecting data and maintaining records of student performance.
• Assist in maintaining learning centers and instructional materials.
• Travel between schools as needed.
