Wichita Public Schools seeks a dedicated paraprofessional to support student learning under the supervision of certified staff. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson reinforcement, maintaining a safe environment, and helping modify activities to meet individual needs.

You will collaborate with teachers to collect data, maintain records, and support learning centers, with required in-service hours annually and additional hours after three years of service.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Paras working in a Title School must have a minimum of 48 accredited college credits verifiable with a transcript or pass a state approved assessment.

Responsabilidades

• Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.
• Provides a safe and healthful environment for students and staff.
• Directs activities designed to reinforce concepts for individuals or small groups.
• Assists students with individual assignments.
• Works with teachers to modify activities to meet individual student's needs.
• Assists teachers in collecting data and maintaining records regarding student performance.
• Assists in the maintenance of learning centers and instructional materials.
• Acquires a minimum of 20 in-service hours annually.
• After 3 years, a minimum of 10 in-service hours are required.
