Position Summary/Job Duties:
This Educational Assistant position is for the Environmental Studies course being offered for the ALP (Accelerated Learning Program). ALP is a 3-week, residential program being offered to high school aged, US and International students in the summer of 2025.
Educational Assistants for the ALP high school program are hired to provide students with enhanced learning opportunities both in the classroom and during the programming day and are chosen for their experience working with children, an interest in the specific class topic, and an expressed interest to work with Badger Precollege.
The EA’s main role is to help facilitate discussion, encourage students to reflect and develop actionable goals using course content as it relates to their future goals. The EA will help prepare students for guest speakers, share their own educational experiences, and help students better understand their options in higher education. Interest in and ability to connect with students from around the world, provide an inspiring and welcoming atmosphere, and creatively engage class participants is a must.
