The Whitney Museum of American Art offers the Spring 2027 Ostrover Family Academic Internship for rising juniors and above (including graduate students) in a paid, semester-long program. It is on-site with 16–21 hours per week for 10–12 weeks, totaling 176 hours, January 18–April 26, 2027.

Interns are assigned to a department, support Youth Programs, prepare materials, assist with outreach and data tasks, and gain experience in museum education. The internship provides a $3,000 stipend.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or above in an accredited program; graduate students eligible.
• Interest in K-12 Museum Education is imperative.
• Excellent attention to detail and written communication.
• Able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with MS Office and Google Suite.

Responsabilités

• Assist during in-person Youth Insights and drop-in Teen Programs to create a welcoming environment for teens at the Museum
• Prepare art materials, organize material inventory and digital files
• Perform administrative tasks to support programs (track statistics, art supply research, student data, and create signs and informational materials)
• Assist in outreach and marketing efforts
