BakerRipley seeks an Education and Training Specialist to guide customers in creating customized education and training plans and to help them access financial aid and support services. You will assess needs, locate programs, and coordinate with providers to ensure successful postsecondary outcomes.

You will administer assessments, track progress, and follow up with participants to promote retention, completion, and employment readiness in a diverse Houston community.

Qualifications

• Develop strong relationships with postsecondary education and training providers
• Be familiar with Gulf Coast Provider Network database
• Aid customers in identifying sources of financial aid and promote financial literacy
• Conduct periodic follow ups to promote retention and completion
• Conduct post-program follow-up to verify outcomes and identify ongoing support
• Bachelor's Degree and two years' experience in student services or advising preferred
• Superior communication and organizational skills; ability to work with diverse populations
