Job summary

ServingSchools is seeking an Education Technician III in Orrington, ME to support student success across classrooms and life skills settings. You will partner with teachers, specialists, and families to implement interventions aligned with each student’s IEP and promote an inclusive, positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 90 college credits required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must meet Maine certification requirements for an Education Technician III.
• Successful completion of all required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers and the educational team to implement individualized instruction, curriculum, and interventions aligned with students' IEP goals.
• Support students across a variety of educational settings, including general education classrooms, Resource Room, and Life Skills programs.
• Carry out assigned responsibilities that promote student learning, independence, communication, and social-emotional development.
• Work alongside teachers and related service providers to prepare materials, implement lesson plans, monitor student progress, and adjust supports as directed.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation and data collection to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
• Assist in implementing behavior support plans and positive behavioral interventions as developed by the educational team.
• Provide supervision and support during instructional and non-instructional activities as needed.
• Transport students during the school day when needed.
