Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Education Technician (Ed Tech) 1 to support students in Turner, Maine, under supervision of the special education department. The role includes instructional/behavioral assistance and may involve mobility and therapeutic care support as defined by health professionals.

The position is a contract - full time, 35 hours per week at $22 per hour, with benefits and standard eligibility requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The School Aide works with students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
• The School Aide may provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
