Job Summary: The Learning & Engagement Contingent will aid in a variety of Learning and Engagement roles at the Columbus Museum of Art. This is a contingent position and will be asked to work on “as needed” basis or at the convenience of an individual’s personal schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Roles and responsibilities will vary depending on the type of shift you are assigned.
Availability: Consistent long-term weekday availability is required. Flexible weekend and holiday availability is preferred. CMA is closed on major holidays. Time-off requests are limited during periods of high visitation; this position must be available during the weeks surrounding major holidays.

Physical Demands:
To successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the staff member must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, raise hands and arms in reaching motion, talk, and hear. May occasionally need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Staff members may frequently have to lift 10-25 lbs. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are necessary. Wherever possible, accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Working Conditions:
The weekday work environment is ordinarily quiet, with occasionally moderate to high visitation due to school groups, tours, workshops, and holidays.
The work environment on weekends, particularly Sundays, is usually moderate to very high, requiring lots of walking, talking, and maintenance of activities.
