Job summary

Benvenue Elementary in Rocky Mount, NC seeks a Reach Associate to support Multi-Classroom Leaders and classroom teachers through instructional and non-instructional duties. The role emphasizes small-group tutoring, data-informed practices, and collaborative planning with the teaching team.

The RA works closely with teachers, supervises student behavior during transitions, and may be deployed across multiple teams to provide targeted support and administrative assistance as directed by the MCLs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children (required).
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations.
• Ability to manage student behavior and support instruction.

Responsibilities

• Support MCLs and classroom teachers in instructional and non-instructional tasks.
• Tutor small groups and individuals under supervising teachers’ guidance.
• Maintain attendance, enter grades, schedule parent conferences, and handle related paperwork.
• Collaborate with teachers, tutors, volunteers, and digital lab monitors as applicable.
• Participate in on-the-job development and data meetings when possible.
• Perform other work related to school-based professional development as requested.
