Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in planning and developing individualized training for students.
• Participate in district and school professional development programs.
• Assist in daily and long-range lesson and classroom activity planning with the certified teacher.
• Model reading, writing, and speaking skills for students.
• Provide escort and assistance to students as necessary (cafeteria, restrooms, playground).
• Monitor assignments and communicate with the certified teacher about any learning gaps.
