Job Description
The Education Specialist / Adult Navigator plays a crucial role in our organization's mission to empower adults through education and workforce development. This position demands a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to client success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive interviews with prospective clients, meticulously reviewing and completing all required documentation to ensure successful program enrollment.
- Implement a rigorous follow-up protocol for non-attendees, rescheduling appointments to maintain program integrity and client engagement.
- Facilitate informative group orientations, presenting critical program information with clarity and authority.
- Provide expert guidance on available online service options, ensuring clients can fully leverage digital resources.
- Deliver in-depth training on various literacy topics, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of our client base.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Software applications and provide thorough assistance to clients, enhancing their technological competence.
- Administer and evaluate quarterly entrance examinations, critically assessing individual progression to maintain program standards.
- Engage potential members identified by outreach staff, employing strategic communication to increase program participation.
- Execute comprehensive Job Readiness Training components on a weekly basis, preparing clients for the demands of the modern workforce.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; alternatively, a minimum of two years of experience in workforce development or a related field is required.
- Demonstrated excellence in project management, including the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and consistently meet critical deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Google Docs, Internet research methodologies, and social media platforms is essential.
- Results-oriented professional with robust analytical skills and a proven track record of utilizing data to inform and drive programmatic decisions.
- Exceptional self-motivation and initiative, with a demonstrated capacity to excel independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including one weeknight and occasional Saturdays, is mandatory.
