Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Educational Specialist to support the Education Department with clerical tasks, develop curricula, and administer LifeTalent LMS. You will participate in orientation delivery and help manage clinical affiliation contracts.

Role involves setting up classrooms, maintaining education calendars, and ensuring compliance with safety training standards. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required.
• Associates in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clerical support to Education Department and maintains education records.
• Prepares learning curricula related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies.
• Administers and maintains the LifeTalent LMS.
• Participates in development, coordination, and delivery of new staff orientation and education activities.
• Oversees and manages all clinical affiliation contracts with Rutherford Regional Health System.
• Provides support for maintenance and cleaning of educational equipment including life safety training manikins and components.
• Sets up equipment and furniture in classrooms as required.
• Maintains education calendar for distribution to departments.
• Maintains list of educational offerings and number of attendees by department.
• Maintains Life-Safety course files as per American Heart Association Training Center regulations including attendance rosters, instructor names.

How you'll contribute

An Educational Specialistwho excels in this role:
