Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse - Clinical Informatics to bridge clinical practice and technology, optimize workflows, support clinical systems, and enhance patient safety, quality and efficiency. You will partner with clinical teams and leaders to lead system implementations, deliver education, facilitate change, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Acute care hospital nursing experience required.
• Experience with clinical information system implementations across the project lifecycle.
• Demonstrated experience with organizational change management, workflow optimization, and change-readiness assessments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with clinical leaders and staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to leverage industry knowledge to advance informatics initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assess clinical workflows, staff learning needs, competencies, and system requirements to identify opportunities to improve patient care, safety, efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
• Partner with nurse leaders, clinicians, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize workflows and ensure clinical technology supports safe, effective, evidence-based practice and clinical standards.
• Lead and support clinical information system implementations and enhancements throughout the project lifecycle, including workflow analysis, testing, training, go-live support, system upgrades, and issue resolution.
• Develop, deliver, and evaluate orientation, education, and training programs that build staff competency in clinical systems, clinical practice, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate organizational change by conducting readiness and workflow assessments, engaging stakeholders, addressing barriers, and supporting successful adoption of new technologies, processes, and workflows.
• Serve as a clinical informatics consultant, mentor, and resource by providing guidance on clinical practice, technology use, system functionality, professional development, and competency development.
• Evaluate clinical technology, workflows, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement, leveraging data, best practices, and industry knowledge to enhance system usability and support organizational goals.
• Apply critical thinking, clinical expertise, and sound judgment to independently identify and resolve issues, communicate effectively across teams, and promote continuous improvement in the integration and use of clinical information technology.

How you’ll contribute
