Job summary

EmilyDiana Collective is seeking a warm, experienced Educational Specialist to provide individualized academic and executive functioning support to students in the South Bay. This part-time role fits credentialed teachers, educational therapists, or reading specialists who enjoy one-on-one work outside a traditional classroom.

Sessions may occur at our Hermosa Beach office, at students’ homes, or on local private school campuses, with weekly consistency and reliable transportation to travel

Qualifications

• Teaching credential and/or graduate-level training in education, special education, educational therapy, literacy, or a related field
• Experience working with elementary, middle school, high school, and/or young adult learners
• Experience supporting students with learning differences, ADHD, dyslexia, executive functioning challenges, or other academic needs
• Strong understanding of individualized instruction and academic intervention
• Structured literacy experience is preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through

EmilyDiana Collective is seeking a warm, experienced Educational Specialist to join our growing team and provide individualized academic and executive functioning support to students throughout the South Bay.

This position may be a great fit for a credentialed teacher, special education teacher, resource specialist, learning specialist, intervention teacher, educational therapist, or reading specialist who enjoys working one-on-one with students and is looking for meaningful part‑time work outside of a traditional classroom setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized academic support and intervention
• Support students in reading, spelling, writing, math, and/or executive functioning
• Adapt instruction based on each student’s learning profile, strengths, and needs
• Help students develop organization, planning, study skills, and academic independence
• Communicate professionally with parents and collaborate with teachers and other providers when appropriate
• Maintain a consistent weekly schedule and provide reliable, relationship‑based support

Schedule:

This is a part‑time position with the opportunity to build a consistent caseload.

Most sessions take place during the school day and after school, with the greatest need during weekday afternoons. Candidates should be able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule.

Sessions may take place at our Hermosa Beach office, in students’ homes, or on local private school campuses throughout the South Bay.
