Job summary

Goody Clancy in Boston is seeking a Project Architect to join our education design team. You will contribute to the full design and delivery process from concept through construction documents, collaborating with principals, designers, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in architecture or preservation; architectural registration preferred.
• 5–10+ years of architectural experience, including design and technical development.
• Strong design sensibility and solid understanding of building systems and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of design concepts, technical solutions, and project documentation
• Collaborate with principals, project managers, designers, and technical staff across all project phases
• Produce drawings, details, and models that support design intent and technical accuracy
• Coordinate with consultants and assist in integrating structural, MEP, and specialty systems
• Support quality control through careful documentation, review, and adherence to standards
• Conduct site visits, field measurements, and existing-conditions assessments
• Assist with project research, including codes, materials, cost benchmarks, and precedents
• Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, helping communicate design ideas and project updates
• Travel as needed for site review, documentation, and client engagement
