Job summary

O’Connell Robertson in San Antonio, TX seeks a Project Architect (Education) to lead project teams in producing architectural drawings and specifications for education facilities, ensuring buildable solutions and design intent alignment.

You’ll mentor staff, develop progressive design concepts through all phases, and present effectively to clients, while staying current with codes, standards, and innovative tools such as REVIT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited 5-year program.
• 5-8+ years of professional experience, including 2 years with Education Buildings.
• Proficiency in REVIT.
• Strong, comprehensive knowledge of architectural principles/practices.
• Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures.
• Flexibility to manage concurrent projects in various stages.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to ensure timely execution and high-quality production/construction documents for education projects.
• Spearhead the development of progressive design concepts through all phases of design.
• Provide innovative ideas for Education architectural amenities to distinguish clients.
• Deliver effective presentations that advance technical and design expertise and deepen client relationships.
• Mentor teams and design staff while developing roadmaps for career advancement.
• Stay ahead of current and emerging architectural trends, innovations, and tools.
