Job summary

The California Tribal TANF Partnership seeks an Education Coordinator to plan, design, implement, administer, deliver and evaluate culturally-sensitive educational programs that help participants achieve personal educational goals.

The role involves managing program reporting, coordinating events, and traveling to CTTP sites to support educational initiatives and student/guardian consultations.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree or high school diploma with two years’ related experience.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, and Outlook) and internet navigation.
• Knowledge of 2 Gen concept, Adverse Childhood Experiences, Wraparound, 504 plans and IEPs preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations surrounding education.
• Ability to relate effectively and work respectfully and professionally with diverse groups and vendors.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel frequently to other locations.

Responsibilities

• Participate and proactively contribute to the CTTP Education Committee.
• Answer employee questions regarding education services, workshops, and education programs.
• Manage and track monthly data or referrals from programs.
• Provide employee communication with respect to new educational programming.
• Implement educational activities and educational workshops in collaboration with other departments and external partners.
• Develop, plan, and execute company-wide education initiatives and programs.
• Conduct academic consultation meetings with students and guardians to develop educational plans.
• Gather and analyze data to measure success of education programs and initiatives.
• Develop relationships with outside agencies to create training opportunities.
• Provide support for preventive screenings and services for youth enrolled in school.
• Compile comprehensive monthly reports on participation, programs, and outcomes.
• Conduct monthly site check-ins and employee surveys to guide program development.
• Develop educational materials and promotional pieces.
• Motivate participants to set and achieve educational goals.
