The Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System is seeking an Education Program Manager in its Strategy Division to expand the education strategy for IPERS members across Iowa at all stages of the retirement journey.
The right candidate will be an ambitious, creative thinker with strengths in event planning, project management, public speaking, collaboration, budgeting and contract management, able to design and deliver multifaceted education programs and measure their impact.

We are eager to add an Education Program Manager to our Strategy Division who will continue to grow the education strategy to reach members throughout Iowa and at all stages along the journey to retirement and beyond.
The right employee is an ambitious, creative thinker with outstanding skills in several areas: event planning, project management, public speaking, collaboration, budgeting, contract management and attention to detail. The employee is someone who can identify, create and facilitate useful educational programming using various delivery methods that simplify complex governmental mandates. The employee is a highly skilled communicator who has experience developing and implementing multifaceted communication/marketing plans in support of the education program, including using data to understand member needs and to measure the program’s strengths and weaknesses. The ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing are vital.
Excellent interpersonal skills are imperative, as this employee will work with colleagues and subject matter experts across IPERS to achieve success.
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday; some nights and weekends, occasional in-state and out-of-state travel.
