Job summary

Northwestern Memorial HealthCare is seeking an Education Coordinator to manage accredited medical education programs, including fellowships, residencies, and clerkships. You will oversee administration, budgeting, recruitment, and program communications with a focus on compliance and trainee support.

Under direction of the Program Director, you will maintain databases, coordinate curricula, and develop processes to improve workflow and cost efficiency across the training program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year experience in program administration or relevant.
• Previous program administration experience in undergraduate or graduate medical education.

Responsibilities

• Administration: supports program management, maintains trainee and faculty data, and schedules.
• Budgets & finances: develops and monitors the training program budget, processes payments, and oversees purchasing.
• Communication, outreach & recruitment: handles match responsibilities, advertises the program, and coordinates recruitment materials.
• Evaluation: facilitates evaluation of trainees and workflows, identifies improvement opportunities.
• Human Resources: oversees trainee orientation and onboarding, tracks visa paperwork as needed.
• Program Development: assists in policy development and understands curriculum and standards.
• Regulatory Compliance: ensures compliance with accrediting bodies and hospital policies.
• Trainee Support: provides supervision and liaises with trainees and hospital administration.
• Supervision: guides administrative staff and may hire support.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
