Job summary

SFUSD seeks an Educational Policy Analyst to lead data systems for Guardrail 2 and support MTSS analytics across sites. The role focuses on reducing chronic absenteeism, improving sense of belonging, and addressing disproportionate discipline through data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate brings extensive data analysis experience, urban public school insight, and strong leadership to drive equity and system improvement. This is a full-time position within San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Excellent data analysis skills and ability to synthesize data to drive action steps.
• Experience with urban public schools and K-12 district policies/procedures.
• Strong project management, organizational and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SFUSD data system implementation and analysis for Guardrail 2 – Serving the Whole Child.
• Support MTSS data platform operations and equity-centered professional development.
• Collaborate across departments to connect data analysis with program feedback and improvement.
