Job summary

New Horizons Regional Education Center is seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist to lead organization-wide marketing and communications for NHREC. The role supports branding, campaigns, and outreach across NHREC programs and events, while serving as the primary liaison with six school divisions in the region.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Marketing/Communications, a strong portfolio, and experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud, social media, and website content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience writing, designing, and producing marketing materials for print and digital use.
• A portfolio of professional work demonstrating writing and visual design across formats/audiences.
• Proficiency with Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud and ability to prepare print/digital materials.
• Experience creating and scheduling social media content and updating website content.

Responsibilities

• Develop an organization-wide marketing and communications strategy aligned with NHREC's mission and priorities.
• Promote NHREC programs, events, and initiatives through coordinated campaigns and outreach.
• Create and maintain consistent branding across programs, departments, and channels.
• Develop marketing materials including brochures, newsletters, signage, digital content, and promotional items.
• Manage NHREC's social media and website content, including analytics and engagement.
• Coordinate communications with NHREC's six participating school divisions and maintain relationships with division offices.
• Draft external communications such as press releases and talking points with leadership input.
• Support internal communications with announcements and employee communications.
• Build relationships with community partners and stakeholders to raise NHREC visibility.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
