Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 1-3 years of litigation experience, including substantive discovery and motion practice.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Valid Texas driver's license and travel ability statewide.

Responsibilities

• Represent Texas public school districts in litigation in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.
• Manage cases from intake through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, hearings, mediation, and trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.
• Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and argue motions and hearings.
• Advise district administrators on litigation risk and strategy and communicate case status clearly.
