Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Advise educational and public‑sector clients on a wide variety of day‑to‑day legal matters.
• Research and analyze Ohio and federal laws affecting schools, public entities, employees, and students.
• Draft legal opinions, correspondence, policies, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Counsel clients regarding board policies, student matters, employee issues, regulatory compliance, and governance.
• Assist with labor and employment matters, collective bargaining, grievances, and employee discipline.
• Support attorneys in administrative hearings, arbitrations, negotiations, and litigation.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide clear, practical legal recommendations.
• Monitor developing laws and regulations and help clients proactively address legal risks.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys while progressively taking ownership of client matters.
