Job summary

Saginaw ISD is seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee HR staff and daily operations for the district and assigned LEA districts. You will manage the employee lifecycle, HR systems, and data integrity, ensure compliance with bargaining agreements and policies, and provide strategic HR support to leadership.

The role emphasizes workforce analytics, policy implementation, and cross-functional collaboration in a full-time central office position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three (3) years of human resources experience required.
• MSBO Human Resources Specialist certification or ability to obtain within three (3) years.
• Experience in employee benefits and leave administration, workers’ compensation, and unemployment claims preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google platforms; must learn and become proficient in district HR software.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for HR Generalist positions, including system configuration, annual rollover coordination, and compliance with board policies and collective bargaining agreements.
• Responsible for accurate execution and implementation of collective bargaining agreement terms, board policy updates, and contractual wage/benefit adjustments across SISD and LEA districts.
• Manages HR initiatives and cross-functional projects, aligning HR strategies with SISD goals.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, SISD departments, and LEA leadership to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Manage the HR team’s service delivery across the employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition through offboarding.
