Job summary

Element Education seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist in San Diego County to screen, assess, identify, and provide direct and indirect services to students with communication disorders that affect education. The role reports to the Director of Special Education and involves developing IEPs, coordinating with the IEP team, and collaborating with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Valid California credential authorizing speech and language services is required.
• Phone, scanner, and internet for school business are required.

Responsibilities

• Screen, diagnose, assess, and identify students with communicative disorders.
• Develop IEPs, treatment plans, and instructional programs based on IEP goals.
• Attend IEP meetings and communicate results, updates, and treatment plans to the IEP team.
• Collaborate with families and school staff to implement services and monitor progress.
• Provide remote/virtual services as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and manage student records as per school policies.
