Alameda County Office of Education in Hayward, CA seeks an Executive Director of Finance to provide vision, leadership, and management of the Business Department, ensuring financial strength and effective operations.

Reporting to a senior administrator, the role collaborates with DBAS, mentors business staff, supports charter schools, and oversees annual budgeting and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a job-related area.
• CBO certification or Master’s degree preferred.
• Eight years director level or executive management experience; five years at a management level in the business department.

Responsabilités

• Provides advice, counsel and training to administrators and districts on procedures, best practices, financial issues and trends.
• Coordinates the formulation and production of the annual budget for the ACOE and supports financial solvency of the office.
• Facilitates meetings and trainings, and mentors staff across the organization.
• Oversees compliance with policies and procedures and advises on risk mitigation.
