Job description

Job Description

We believe in bold ideas, diverse perspectives, and the drive to transform knowledge into impact. Here, your curiosity fuels progress, your voice shapes innovation, and your ambition helps redefine what's possible within science and learning. We are a culture that obsesses over impact, challenges, and drives what's next to power infinite possibilities for our customers, colleagues and society at large.

About the Role

Wiley Assessments builds products that help people grow — at work and beyond. Our portfolio includes Everything DiSC®, The Five Behaviors®, PXT Select€, and The Leadership Challenge. We're a division of John Wiley & Sons that operates with the agility of a product company and the reach of a global publisher.

As the Development Manager, Education, you will serve as the primary Education representative in product-related meetings, including Program Increment Planning. You will apply deep knowledge of our product ecosystem to anticipate the downstream impact of upcoming releases on courses and customer-facing content and translate that analysis into actionable updates across the education portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of product, instructional design, and content strategy, and is central to Wiley's platform-first approach to customer and practitioner success.

How you will make an impact
  • Lead the end-to-end development of education programs, videos, and resources that enable practitioners and customers to get maximum value from our product ecosystem by applying adult learning principles and a strong focus on asynchronous technology-driven experiences.
  • Conduct ongoing portfolio audits to identify content gaps and inconsistencies across the education content library and drive the changes needed to resolve them.
  • Collaborate with others to Establish and maintain content standards that apply across the full education portfolio, collaborating with colleagues to ensure coherence and quality at scale.
  • Manage multiple project workstreams across the content development life cycle, coordinating with Product, Brand, and Consumer Insights teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Serve as a strategic voice in product planning conversations, translating upcoming releases into education priorities and keeping the content portfolio in sync with the evolving platform.
What we're looking for
  • Deep experience developing asynchronous training content and experiences, with a learner‑centered approach to design
  • Strong command of instructional design principles and adult learning theory, applied to a SaaS or technology product context
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and influence cross‑functional partners without direct authority by building alignment through credibility and communication
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content and messaging to different audiences
  • High proficiency with technology and a track record of mastering new tools quickly
  • Detail‑oriented and organized, with an equally strong ability to maintain the big picture
  • Collaborative by nature, you do your best work with others and make teams around you stronger
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
  • 5+ years' experience in training, software training, and/or learning content development
  • Demonstrated experience developing engaging learning content for a SaaS product
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms (e.g., Docebo) and experience working within or alongside a SaaS platform environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to manage projects and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver results on deadline
Salary Range

62,400 USD to 91,533 USD
