U.S. News & World Report, based in Washington, DC, is seeking a Data Analyst for the Education team to ensure data integrity in our trusted rankings. You will transform raw data into insights that help millions of students and families make informed decisions.

You will work on data architecture, process optimization, QA, and anomaly detection, collaborating with editorial and product teams to present rankings and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Three years of professional experience in statistical programming, including ingesting datasets, merging, cleaning and analysis.
• Bachelor's degree with coursework in quantitative fields (Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related Social Science).
• Experience using version control systems to track changes (e.g., Git).

Responsabilités

• Develop and refine code to process complex datasets for education rankings.
• Automate data workflows and improve production efficiency for ranking calculations and outputs.
• Conduct rigorous audits of code, data inputs, and outputs to ensure accuracy.
• Enhance anomaly detection and validation, including AI-assisted methods.
• Collaborate with technical, product and editorial teams to present rankings and data clearly.
