Job summary

Community Hospital of San Bernardino, part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks an Education Coordinator RN to support staff, students, families, and academic partners by coordinating education initiatives, ensuring compliance, and enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.

You will manage LMS and policy software, oversee academic affiliations and student placements, coordinate calendars and training sessions, liaise with IT, and help develop educational programs that meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.

Responsibilities

• Educational Software & Systems Administration: Serve as the primary administrator for Learning Management Systems (LMS) and policy management software, providing direct support, running reports, conducting training (in-person/webinar), and resolving technical issues for all users.
• Academic Affiliations & Student Program Management: Direct and oversee all aspects of academic affiliation agreements, including negotiation, execution, and renewal, and manage onboarding, orientation, and placement processes for students from local universities and colleges.
• Administrative & Logistical Coordination: Perform administrative functions for the education department, including calendars, meetings, agendas/minutes, expenses, and logistics for educational sessions and new-hire orientations.
• IT Liaison & Communication: Act as the main contact for IT issues and projects for the education department, coordinating with IT teams and management.
• Educational Program Support & Compliance: Assist in planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of education programming, ensuring regulatory and professional standards compliance.
• Resource Management & Strategic Input: Assist in planning for and managing resources for educational programs and contribute to departmental strategic plans.

Everyday you willadminister and support education and policy software systems, manage academic affiliations, and provide comprehensive administrative coordination. You will be expected tocollaborate with various stakeholders, troubleshoot technical issues, provide training, and ensure adherence to all regulatory and institutional requirements related to education.

To be successful in this role, you mustpossess strong organizational skills, technical proficiency in learning management systems, excellent communication abilities, a proactive problem-solving approach, and a commitment to quality improvement and compliance within a healthcare education context.

• Resource Management & Strategic Input:Assist in planning for and managing fiscal and other resources for educational programs, contribute to the assessment of organization-wide education needs, and support the development and implementation of departmental strategic plans related to education.
