Job summary

Salina-Regional-Health-Center is seeking an Education Coordinator to educate, consult, facilitate, research and lead staff development across the health center. The role plans and oversees orientation, inservice education, and policy development to strengthen patient and family outcomes along the care continuum.

The coordinator builds collaborative relationships with health center leadership, physicians, and care teams to drive education initiatives that support quality care and staff competency.

Qualifications

• BSN or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience.
• Education coordination and staff development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee staff orientation and inservice education.
• Lead staff development initiatives and policy development or revision.
• Consult with health center leadership, physicians, and staff to improve patient/family outcomes.

Job description

The Education Coordinator functions as an educator, consultant, facilitator, researcher, leader, change agent and resource person for the health center. Responsible for planning and overseeing staff orientation, inservice education, staff development, and policy development and/or revision. The Education Coordinator assumes a consultant role in strengthening collaborative relationships with health center leadership, physicians, and all health care staff in various settings to improve patient/family outcomes along the care continuum throughout MHS.
