Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise teachers in implementing the Early Learning Outcome Framework (ELOF) and curricula.
- Train and mentor teachers in appropriate teaching strategies.
- Assist in coordinating Staff Development plans for teaching staff.
- Coordinate developmental screening and assessments.
- Support preschool teachers in implementing high-quality interactions as defined by CLASS or best practices for infant & toddler services.
- Coordinate data collection, analysis, communication, and dissemination.
- Oversee mental health and disability service delivery.
- Manage daily classroom staff schedules, including substituting when necessary.
- Conduct ongoing classroom monitoring.
- Establish relationships with local school districts, therapists, mental health providers, and childcare partners for advocacy and referrals.
- Complete record keeping and reporting as per timelines.
- Ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures.
- Supervise teachers and conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Ensure classrooms are stocked with necessary materials.
- Assist in coordinating parent meetings.
- Oversee the implementation of Fatherhood activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of clients and records.
- Perform duties professionally, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety practices, and regulations.
- Mentor teachers and participate in their performance evaluations.
Qualifications
Required
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field, or 3-5 years relevant experience.
- Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
- Ability to pass physical, background checks, and obtain necessary clearances.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
Preferred
- CLASS certification.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequent movement including standing, walking, sitting, stooping, and reaching.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Work in office or classroom settings with moderate to high noise levels.
