BUS DRIVER/CUSTODIAN (MSHS - Seasonal Full-Time) CDC/Caldwell

Position Details

Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly

This position is considered Seasonal Full-Time, with an approximate start date in March/April and running through December, including some downtime during the off-peak period.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide school bus transportation to children, parents, and other passengers as assigned.
  2. Ensure knowledge of traffic and safety laws, regulations, ordinances, and codes.
  3. Operate and inspect a school bus.
  4. Understand routes, maps, schedules, safety & maintenance manuals, work orders, and correspondence.
  5. Maintain and submit reports, inspections, repair/work orders, and maintenance logs.
  6. Perform bus safety, pre/post-trip, and evacuation drills.
  7. Provide training and guidance to center staff and volunteers.
  8. Report maintenance and repair issues to supervisor.
  9. Operate custodial equipment and perform cleaning and minor maintenance on buses and facilities.
  10. Assist in moving and setting up furniture and equipment for events.
  11. Supervise Bus Monitors.
  12. Maintain grounds, perform snow removal, and ensure cleanliness.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of clients and records.
  14. Adhere to CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices.
Qualifications
Required
  • Clean driving record meeting Idaho DOT requirements.
  • Minimum age of 25 years.
  • Pass DOT physical, background checks, and TB clearance.
  • Provide proof of auto insurance.
  • Obtain First Aid and CPR certification.
Preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current CDL with passenger & school bus endorsements.
  • Experience or training in transportation.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and operating equipment.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to moving parts, chemicals, weather, traffic, and noise.
