Job summary

JRI is seeking an Education Coordinator to assist the Education Director with administrative tasks in a trauma-informed setting for youths in residential programs in Massachusetts. The role includes writing reports, covering teaching duties, and providing 1:1 student support.

You will help supervise students before school, lead educational groups, and coordinate field trips, contributing to a safe, supportive learning environment for youths with emotional disabilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Special Education license preferred but not required.
• At least 1 year experience as a supervisor and administrator.
• At least 3 years of experience working in Special Education with young adults with emotional disabilities.
• Candidates with experience in alternative school settings or treatment programs are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compile written reports (IEP progress reports, treatment reports, rounds).
• Cover classes for teachers when they are out and supervise students 1:1 as needed.
• Support the Education Director with assigned tasks.
• Provide student supervision and educational groups, including field trips, before school and on non-school days.

Are you the Education Coordinator we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our youth!

The Education Coordinator will assist the Education Director with administrative tasks and systems related to education at Centerpoint and the Merrimack Center. Our Intensive Residential Treatment Programs (IRTPs) are dedicated to providing trauma-informed care to youths facing serious mental health issues, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviors.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $23.00 to $28.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

JRI Provides The Training So That:

• YOU will support students and staff in the classrooms and residential milieu as needed.
• YOU will complete primary duties include compiling written reports (including IEP progress reports, treatment reports, rounds), covering classes for teachers when they are out, supporting students 1:1 as needed, and supporting the Education Director with tasks as needed.
• YOU will support students before school at breakfast, and on non-school days in the milieu, through providing student supervision, educational groups and educational field trips as appropriate for individuals/groups of students.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years or older.

• Candidates with experience working with adolescents in an alternative school setting or treatment program are preferred.
