Qualifikationen

• Minimum 10 years of professional editing experience at a media company or education publication, including 5+ years in leadership.
• Expertise in the higher education and K-12 content, and prior experience writing and editing this content.
• Experience recruiting and managing freelance writers and editors.
• Experience managing editorial calendars and developing content strategy.
• Experience employing SEO best practices and using SEO tools to inform content strategy decisions.
• Journalism or related degree or equivalent experience.

Aufgaben

• Oversee and develop our education content strategy for a consumer audience of parents and students.
• Manage a team of in-house education reporters and editors.
• Recruit and manage freelance writers and editors; assign articles and process invoices.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to produce and review content.
• Edit articles, slideshows and other content for flow, tone, and SEO.
• Use analytics to monitor performance and guide editorial decisions.
• Possibly host education webinars and serve as spokesperson for launches.
