Base pay range

$115,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

We are partnering with a respected general contractor that is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee K-12 education projects in the greater Dallas area. The ideal candidate will have a proven background managing school construction and renovation projects, with the ability to lead teams and maintain strong client relationships. Project sites may be located up to one hour from Dallas, so regional travel is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of K-12 construction projects from preconstruction through close-out.
• Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and document control.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, and field teams.
• Ensure all projects meet quality, schedule, and safety standards.
• Coordinate closely with on-site Superintendents to support daily operations and resolve issues as needed.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost tracking.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
• Familiarity with school district requirements, procurement processes, and project delivery methods (CMAR, DBB, etc.).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
• Willingness to travel to project sites up to 60 minutes from the Dallas area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience working with public school systems or municipal agencies in Texas.
• Knowledge of TDLR and TAS compliance requirements.
