Job summary

Omaha Public Schools Service Center in Omaha, NE is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee in-house renovations, modifications and work by architects and engineers. You will interface with the Director of Buildings and Grounds, manage multiple projects and ensure compliance with district guidelines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CM or related fields and at least 3 years of construction/project management experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Construction Management, Project Management, or related areas of Architecture/Engineering.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

Participates in planning sessions, community meetings, and workshops as required.
Participates in establishing project objectives, reviewing designs, preparing cost estimates, reviewing constructability, and developing bidding documents.
Conducts project field inspections, reviews shop drawings, material usage, invoices, and documents for change orders.
Coordination and monitoring of the District performed remodeling, modifications, and general construction work.
Submit requests to the District’s Facility Work Request System for coordination and support between District Departments.
