Job summary

Utah Community Action is seeking an Education Coach to support teachers through individualized coaching and professional development, helping implement evidence-based teaching practices to strengthen instructional quality and children’s readiness for school.

The role focuses on observations, modeling, reflective conversations, and ongoing support to improve classroom practices and outcomes for young learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with emphasis in essential early childhood education topics.
• Minimum of one year of Head Start, Early Head Start, or similar early childhood education setting.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and ChildPlus or similar data management systems.
• Valid driver's license.
• Four years of early childhood education or related experience (preferred).
• Coaching in Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate (preferred).
• Previous Head Start experience (preferred).
• Bilingual skills (preferred).

Position Summary

The Education Coach provides individualized coaching and professional development to teaching staff to improve instructional practices and classroom quality. Through classroom observations, modeling, reflective conversations, and ongoing support, the Education Coach helps teachers implement research-based strategies that promote positive child outcomes and school readiness.

Time Off

Enjoy 24 days of paid time off to start (increasing to 30 days after 26 months), 11 paid holidays, up to 8 paid winter break days, and 1 hour of paid self-care time each week.
