Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a full-time Education Assistant to support students in Los Alamos, NM. The role involves tutoring individuals, reinforcing instruction, and assisting teachers with classroom activities and materials.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 EA license issued by NMPED.
• Experience tutoring or supporting students is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain classroom policies.
• Tutor individual students, reinforcing instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Provide support to the teacher by distributing and collecting paper and supplies.
• Assist students with proper examples, emotional support, a friendly attitude and general guidance.
• Assist in monitoring students as directed.
• Confer with teachers concerning programs and materials to meet student needs.
• Participate in meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
