Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services in Espanola, New Mexico is looking for a full-time Education Assistant to help students reach their potential in a bright, energetic classroom.

You will support the teacher with tutoring, distribute and collect supplies, provide encouragement and patient guidance, and help monitor students as directed. A Level 3 EA license issued by NMPED is required. We offer competitive pay and a benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and patience required.
• Experience supporting elementary students a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.

Paraeducator Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain classroom policies.
• Tutor individual students, reinforcing instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Provide support to the teacher by distributing and collecting paper and supplies.
• Assist students by providing proper examples, emotional support, a friendly attitude and general guidance.
• Assist in monitoring students as directed.
• Confer, as needed, with teachers concerning programs and materials to meet student needs.
• Participate in meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirement
