Job summary

Acadia Healthcare in Philadelphia is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the education department. You will handle general clerical tasks, receptionist duties and project-based work to keep daily operations running smoothly.

You may interview new students, prepare their initial Academic Plans and serve as the school liaison. You will confer with staff, parents, guardians, teachers and therapists to coordinate the Academic Plan while greeting residents and visitors with a professional,

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available on hire).
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility.

  • Maintain a positive, empathetic attitude and address complaints with patient safety in mind.

Job description

Purpose Statement

Provide administrative support to the education department.

Essential Functions
  • Perform general clerical, receptionist and project-based work for the department.
  • May interview new students and prepare their initial Academic Plan.
  • Function as the school liaison.
  • Confer with staff members, parents, guardians, teachers, therapists and administrators regarding Academic Plan.
  • Meet and greet residents and visitors.
  • Assist the Education Director with daily functions of the department.
  • Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
Other Functions
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licenses/Designations/Certifications
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
